The founder and Executive Director of Sharing The Love Foundatiion, Marian Stewart has dedicated her life to helping youth reach their highest potential.  Originally from Chicago IL, Marian knew early in life that she was destined to dedicate her life to advocate for youth empowerment and for those without a voice. She began the journey in 1981 as an employee with the Chicago Housing Authority, which was once one of the largest public housing authorities in the nation.

Her 15 years at the authority enabled her to hone her skills as a youth community organizer; to provide programs that would equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed. Daily, she encouraged youth within the community to seek higher education and return to their communities with their skills to help others. During this time she worked side by side with local advisory councils, community activists, business owners and elected officials to help improve living conditions and create jobs for communities on the south and westside of Chicago.

In her personal life, she served on several boards and committees all of which focused on economic development and community empowerment. She has received numerous awards and recognitions for her commitment to her communities.

Her dream to make an impact with youth in Texas communities became a reality in 2012. She and her friend Karen Jones and a few others share the same passion. Together they decided to create Sharing The Love Foundation which Marian considers her mission in life.
